I am not sure if this is a bug or I am just impatient, but has anyone encountered a glitch with the house expansion? Benjamin came to my house and said he could expand it if I paid him, I paid what he asked at the store that day, and the next he began showing up on the left side of my house in the mornings. But, the weird thing is he hasn't finished, it has been nearly two weeks in the game (I did save and exit the game sometime while he was working), and Benjamin no longer shows up at my house, but I have no stairs. I tried to go back and pay him again to do it, but I am not given that option when I talk to him in his store... It's not a game ending issue or anything, and I am not even sure it's a bug, but Ben seemed to think it would take only a few days and the forums on here say that too. Will not having the upstairs impact my ability to marry? Please help... I don't want to continue if I can't get married because of this...

He comes to your house in the morning and asks you to wait outside so he can install the staircase. If there are other events where people come to your door (Paxel arriving or leaving, notifications about events, Marion with the milk pail, a marriage candidate confessing their feelings, etc) the less important ones get pushed back. This may delay Benjamin's visit for you

When Benjamin started expanding my house, the first day he showed up and worked on it, the next day was trivia night. He never showed up by my house the next few days, so I checked and I had lost a ribbon! So I worked my way up to 3 ribbons again and the next day he showed up to finish the job. Don't know if it was a coincidence or not.

When Benjamin was working in my house, the second day was also a festival. He don't showed that day. And I think that he doesn't show the next either. And then my house was finished anyways.
I think that something like that also happened with the barn.
