A suggestion to make the game more engaging

First of all I want to say that I really love your game. The interaction with the people of the village is just delightful. And now that Quint is going to become a marriage candidate, what else could we ask for? *cough*Logan*cough* ^_~
Anyway, something people seem to be complaining about it's the fact that after they've been playing for a while, they feel as if some of the activities (keeping animals, fishing, mining, cooking...) are not necessary because all they really need to do to complete the game is harvesting the required number of crops/fruits to unlook the feral shade that asks for that task.
My suggestion is that you implement some kind of request board in which people of the village will post requests for certain items (crops, animal products, fish, gemstones...). The reward could be, for example, some money or an item. An added bonus of an increment in their friendship level would be nice too.
It would be great if this new "activity" can also be upgraded. For example, at the beginning the player would be limited to just one active quest. When they fulfill a fixed number of requests, they'll level up and would be able to have two or more active requests at the same time and maybe you could add a new type of request, more difficult but more rewarding, so they can choose between an easy request or a more difficult one. You can increase the difficulty of the requests by adding a time limit, or asking for more items or for recipes...
This may give the player an incentive to do the other activities (mining, fishing...) so they can fulfill the requests and get some money, increasing their friendship level with the villagers at the same time.
